The ZOOM Advisory Council (ZAC) is a group of business and technology leaders who provide real world feedback to ZOOM and its clients on strategic positioning questions. ZAC members are business or technology leaders responsible for technology purchases within their companies. Members come from companies including CitiGroup, Corporate Express, Dell, EDS, Gumps, Microsoft, Ponemon Institute for Privacy, Proctor and Gamble, Smith Barney, and VISA.
ZAC members join for a variety of reasons:
- Access to interesting research
- Find out what peers are thinking and meet like minded contacts
- Impact tech companies’ strategic and product direction
- Enjoy the intellectual challenge of answering thought-provoking questions
- Honorariums, Amazon gift certificates and rewards for their time
- Previous interactions with ZOOM have been fun and they want to keep in contact
- Confidence that the information they share will be kept confidential

ZOOM clients love the ZOOM Advisory Council because it gives them feedback on their positioning questions from people that represent their target customer. They know that ZOOM has filtered these execs to ensure they’re getting feedback from smart, articulate, proven people who understand the ZOOM approach.
ZAC members can get as involved as they like or their time permits. The minimum requirement is one interaction per year. Here are some examples of the types of ways ZAC members get involved:
- Respond to a quick email survey or phone call
- Participate in a phone interview (typically includes a cash honorarium)
- Participate in a focus group (typically includes a cash honorarium)
