ZOOM was incorporated
on April 1, 1997. Co-CEOs Nick Copping and Ellie
Victor bring a unique combination of technology, marketing and communication
expertise to bear for ZOOM's clients. Ellie and Nick have established a
rare partnership in values and approach to marketing.
Nick is a technologist
who began his career as a physicist at Caltech. Nick was formerly director
of corporate engineering for Hewlett-Packard and CEO of two companies
(Atherton Technology and CRI). Nick was VP of Strategic Customer Relationships
at ParcPlace-Digitalk where he and Ellie met. He's also an accomplished
musician, who began making studio recordings at the age of 15.
Ellie's background
is in communication. She was formerly a principle at Cunningham Communication
where she helped the company grow from 23 employees to the largest independent
public relations agency. At Cunningham, Ellie directed public relations
for Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, Taligent, Electronic Arts and Gemini Consulting.
Prior to founding ZOOM, Ellie was VP of Corporate Marketing at ParcPlace-Digitalk.
Her enthusiasm for high-tech marketing is only matched by her enthusiasm
for tennis - "avid" would be a serious understatement.
Ellie and Nick have
assembled a hardworking, diverse and creative team of like-minded professionals
and have found Points That Matter for companies including EDS,
Palm, Adobe, TiVo, Sun, Pinnacle Systems, Oracle and numerous start-ups.
In their spare time, they give seminars on the ZOOM Philosophy to groups
including the Business Marketing Association, TEC and even students in
the East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring program.
ZOOM is proud to work with a select group of business
partners. These companies have a proven track
record of working together with ZOOM clients to help make their Point
That Matters real. We encourage you to contact them to develop an
extended team that knows how to help you build a successful business around
your Point That Matters.

Capital are entrepreneurs first and foremost. Each of us left

new companies. That involves money, of course. But even more important
is the effort, the perspective, the experience and the enthusiasm we invest.
That's especially important when working with companies in their formative
stages, which is our preference.

EPATT
The
East
Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring program is ZOOM's favorite charity
because it's a great example of helping people help themselves.
EPATT, a chapter of Youth Tennis Advantage, was set up 12 years
ago to introduce kids in the community of East Palo Alto to goal-setting
and achievement. The kids are taught tennis and tutored in academics
every afternoon by volunteer Stanford students.

Stanford
Tennis
ZOOM
has sponsored Stanford's
men's and women's tennis teams since 1999. Stanford owns the
college tennis "hill", with 31 national championships between the
men's and women's teams. ZOOM likes sponsoring Stanford tennis because
as part of the deal, they let us invite clients and friends to hit
with the players once a year!

DEMO
ZOOM first sponsored the DEMO
conference in 1999. DEMO is the premier conference for showcasing
the hottest new technology products each year. ZOOM likes the DEMO
approach because it forces companies to tell their story on stage
in about 8 minutes, and to facilitate that DEMO has counseled its
presenters to focus on a Point That Matters.
