Account Coordinator
Remote | San Francisco Bay Area preferred
We’re Silicon Valley’s first and longest-lasting agency focused on data-driven positioning. For more than two decades, we’ve helped the world’s most innovative brands gain category leadership through clarity, creativity and a proven process that surfaces The Point That Matters. Our clients include Snowflake, Databricks, Nutanix, FloQast and hundreds more positioning leaders.
We’re looking for an Account Coordinator who is creative, curious, detail-oriented and self-motivated to support our client projects and execute key parts of our proven process. You’ll work closely with our Client Manager and strategy team across research, analysis, presentations and project execution.
We’re a small team relying on everyone’s initiative to pitch in and own their work. That means driving assignments through to completion, anticipating what’s needed next and taking initiative to solve problems rather than simply flagging them. In return, you’ll get hands-on experience across our data-driven positioning process, with opportunities to learn, build new skills and take on more responsibility.
Our office is remote, so you must be highly effective working independently from home.
What you’ll do:
Execute ZOOM’s data-driven positioning process, from research through final recommendations
Support the Client Manager in coordinating client projects, keeping deliverables and follow-ups on track and details buttoned up
Based on each client’s goals and research questions, work with the team to create surveys, questionnaires and discussion guides
Coordinate interviews, focus groups and quantitative surveys, setting research partners up for success and keeping fieldwork on track
Develop research participant screeners and coordinate with third-party recruiters to ensure qualified targets
Review interview and survey data for accuracy and completeness, and prepare reports to support analysis
Draft client presentations that turn research findings into clear, compelling stories
Participate in research analysis, identifying patterns and implications and contributing to recommendations
Own assigned work through completion, anticipating what’s needed next and recommending solutions rather than simply flagging problems
Use AI and emerging tools to improve research, analysis and team workflows while maintaining privacy, accuracy and quality
Own special projects that improve how we conduct research, capture data and share insights
Who you are:
Have a BA or BS in marketing, communications, journalism, business, sociology or a related field
A marketer at heart with job or internship experience in market research, marketing or client projects
Off-the-charts attention to detail; you’re precise, thorough and notice what others miss
Able to step back, slow down and see the big picture in a fast-paced environment, even while juggling lots of moving pieces
Take ownership, follow through and look for solutions rather than simply flagging problems
Able to work collaboratively and independently, delivering high-quality work with little supervision in a remote environment
Insatiably curious and empathetic; you ask smart questions, dig beneath the surface and want to understand clients, their customers and what matters to them
A strong communicator who can take a lot of information and make it clear, concise and useful
Set a high bar for your work, anticipating questions and asking “Can I make this better?” before passing it along
Bring positive energy and a sense of humor to your work; we take our work seriously, but not ourselves
Comfortable with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, Squarespace, HubSpot and LinkedIn, and quick to learn new research, marketing and AI tools
Available to work Pacific Time hours so you can collaborate with our team and clients in real time
As part of our interview process, finalists may be invited to complete a short test project designed to reflect the skills used in the role.
Compensation and benefits
This role is a full-time, remote position. The salary range for this role is $50,000–$65,000, with compensation within that range determined by experience, scope, and demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast-moving client environment, including:
Relevant experience in marketing, market research or client-facing work
Strength of written communication, organization and attention to detail
Ability to take ownership, follow through and solve problems
Ability to work independently and learn quickly in a fast-moving client environment
