The other day I caught up with a client we worked with 10 years ago and the first thing he said to me was, "I still have ZOOM's comics all over my home," then asked, "Do you have one about AI?"
So here it is!
Good news? By the end of the project, the whiteboard doesn’t just list buzzwords — it tells a story about what AI actually does.
Humor has always been part of ZOOM’s DNA. For 10 years, we made hand-drawn cartoons that poked fun at the tech industry including a tongue-in-cheek series titled “Great Moments in Marketing.” Some became cult favorites (one even ended up in Michael Dell’s office).

At ZOOM Marketing we like to tackle the world’s toughest positioning challenges. Our day job is spent differentiating tech industry leaders as category leaders. After hours, we think about how we can put our craft to work for the planet. We’ve inspired and co-sponsor The Humane Planet Speaker Series.
ZOOM joined forces with Palo Alto Humane Society and the Sweet Farm to create The Humane Planet Speaker Series: Thought Leaders for a Sustainable World. The series features inspirational speakers—entrepreneurs, scientists, politicians and thought leaders—who are exploring new ways to create a more sustainable and compassionate world with positive impacts on animals, plants and the planet.
In 2022, we featured two blockbuster speakers: Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) who announced the Industrial Agriculture Accountability Act last month, and award-winning animal advocate, Daina Bray.
